Debate Watching PartiesWe're in the midst of a busy fall season with just under 50 days left until Election Day. The first presidential debate will be held next Friday, September 26th at the University of Mississippi. After months of refusing to hold joint town hall meetings with John McCain, Senator Obama will finally have to face John McCain one-on-one.
This debate is something you absolutely will not want to miss, which is why we are asking you to host a McCain Nation Debate Watching Party on Friday, September 26th.
If you host a McCain Nation party, you will receive a packet from the campaign that includes a suggested party agenda, bumper stickers, and other McCain-Palin gear. We are asking that your register your party by Monday, September 22nd to receive a packet in time for your party.
The process for creating a Debate Watching Party is very simple. Click on the picture link below to signup:

Senator McCain's Fund-raiser in Atlanta
at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis
August 18, 2008
As many of you already know, Senator John McCain visited Atlanta this week and more than 300 Georgians from across the state greeted him with customary southern hospitality. Members of the state's congressional delegation, state leadership, campaign volunteers and supporters listened as Senator McCain laid out his priorities and addressed the pocket book issues impacting Georgians and Americans across the country. What captured me most about Senator McCain's remarks however was his genuine expression of gratitude to those in the room-- familiar faces and newcomers; young, eager faces and those reflecting the character of their life experience. He appeared humbled by the success of the event--$1.75 million raised on his behalf-- yet confident, focused and quick-witted. Prior to the main reception, Senator McCain met with a small group, the Host Committee. The atmosphere was jovial, anticipation and excitement in the air-- what appeared to be residual from Senator McCain's much lauded appearance earlier at the Saddleback Forum which was on national TV. Of course, there was much chatter and speculation about WHO would be the Vice Presidential pick... and then general resignation that we will know when we know.Loretta LeporeCo-Chair, Georgia Women for McCain
